Invictus Health Group is closely monitoring all coronavirus (COVID-19) updates and is following best practices from the CDC to prevent the spread of the virus.
Invictus Health Group is a leader in behavioral health providing inpatient and outpatient care through our partnerships with treatment centers for adult males and females battling mental illness, substance use disorders, behavioral issues, and dual-diagnosis. The modern yet comfortable mental health and substance abuse treatment centers located in several locations across Southern California: Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego (adolescent facility) and Palm Springs. Each location offering different levels of care based on the needs of the patient.
The levels of care offered may vary from the most intensive to the least intrusive depending on the severity of abuse, duration of use, amount of substance used, and polysubstance use by addiction patients. In the case of mental health patients, the level of care is decided basis the presence and gravity of mental health symptoms, incidence of self-harm tendencies or suicidal ideation, and the need for 24/7 monitoring to prevent the patient from harming themselves or others.
Also known as inpatient care, residential treatment center (RTC) program is the most intensive level of care offered by Invictus Health Group’s partners. Their RTC program provides care and a specialized treatment plan in an organized setting, 24/7. The staff at the residential treatment center ensures that the patients dedicate themselves completely for the recommended duration of the treatment, which may vary between 30, 60, or 90 days, depending on the severity of the symptoms. Treatment adjustments and an extension of treatment protocol can be made if required. During their stay, our patients receive treatment – including therapy, medication, and brain-wellness training – specifically geared towards their unique needs. All residential patients have access to specialized services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
An RTC program is appropriate for patients requiring medical or psychiatric supervision, such as those with chemical dependency requiring detoxification and those grappling with suicidal ideation or self-harming behavior, psychotic symptoms, severe depression, or other such conditions.
Also known as intensive outpatient treatment, partial hospitalization program delivers high-quality care so that a person can break free from the shackles of their addiction and at the same time, address the underlying causes that led to the addiction in the first place. The PHP program is also prescribed to those individuals who have familial commitments such as caring for elderly family members or caring for children because of which they are unable to stay in the residential program or commit to constant supervision or monitoring.
Invictus Health Group’s partner’s PHP programs are very structured and focused. In case a patient does not show much improvement, if their attendance at the facility is negligent or if a relapse happens, the patient is most likely to be asked to continue the treatment until the condition improves. If still the improvement is questionable, they are suggested to join the RTC program.
The PHP program is appropriate for patients requiring intensive mental health care, but who do not need 24/7 medical or psychiatric supervision. Usually, PHP patients have no thoughts of harming themselves or others and generally have a strong, sober support system at home or at their place of residence.
The IOP program is for those individuals who have successfully completed a RTC program or a detox and are capable of continuing their therapy in a less structured setting. Our partner’s IOP programs are designed to empower a patient to walk on the path of lasting recovery. The patients can attend appointments, therapy sessions, meetings, classes or other activities during daytime and this flexibility enables them to continue with the other commitments at work, school, and home.
One of the major goals of an IOP program is to empower a patient to lead a successful life in a community. Since our patients are already a part of the community, their acute need for occupational counseling, healthy meal planning, and effective money management is also met during these sessions.
IOP is appropriate for patients who have completed residential treatment program or do not require PHP or residential treatment.
